GOALS AND
OBJECTIVES
The main goal of the shoot
is to get great photos in a relaxing and fun environment which will
enhance your portfolio and hopefully get the phone ringing for you. What we are trying to achieve
are photos that capture how you would look coming through the door
to your audition; photos that show your personality at its best: spontaneous, relaxed,
easygoing, natural, and elegant. photos should have an interesting composition and spark
that makes them compelling, something that stands out from the other photos of people in your age range and physical type.
Photo shoots are a creative process, like
acting, and should be fun. Remember to bring your favorite CDs to
the shoot.
COST
OF THE DIGITAL SHOOT
Which package to get?
Keep
in mind, that if it comes out well, photos from a successful photo session
can last anywhere from 1-5 years. You wont regret the extra
investment since you can often recoup your fees in one good job. And
remember that 100 exposures with a great photographer is better than 1000
with an average one. When it come to photography, quality is a lot more
important than quantity!
For the current Rate card, please fill out the CONTACT FORM , or call direct-- (310) 395-4613 -- or e-mail direct.
Rate card provided is for independent actors and models. If you are in advertising, editorial, music, fashion , or are another type of professional client, please see the relevant new flash websites linked on the homepage, and feel free to e-mail or call (310) 395-4613 for more information.
Digital files burned to CD at the end of the shoot to take home
are included with each package. The files provide you with the ability to go
either color or black and white. A post session consultation to review images
is included with each package.
In many cases retouching is not necessary. If you need it done, I can offer
my services or refer
you to a lab.
Turnaround for digital headshot shoots is at the end of the shoot.
LCD readout preview is included. This is the chance to decide if any of the choices made -- about hair, clothes etc -- should be kept, adjusted, or eliminated, before we shoot.
Later, I will also
tell you where to go to get reproductions. The reproduction house does the
typeset, borders etc. Reproductions are made directly from the digital files
with no generation loss. (about 50¢ to 90¢ each)
The hair and make
up artist is outstanding, natural style, and stays the whole shoot.
Please ask for what you want and check the mirror and LCD to see that you
are happy. Any discrepancies will be gladly adjusted. Remember that any suggestion
you have about anything must be voiced at the time of the shoot, not after
the shoot.
Women: If you get hair and make-up, please come with no make-up on. Have your hair as close as possible to how you wear it at an audition.
TO BOOK A SHOOT
To book shoot, a retainer fee will
be left for one half the total. Cash
or money order is preferred, but I am now set up to accept all major credit
cards if required. There is a 3% card fee for payment by credit cards. The
Balance will be paid at the end of the shoot. (All retainer fees are non-refundable/non-transferable
-- all sales are final)
Postponements must be made at least three business days prior to the shoot date.
After the shoot is booked, we will discuss in specific detail all key points of shoot -- (lighting, clothes, commercial vs. legit. etc.)
WHAT TO WEAR
Avoid noisy patterns, strips,
logos etc. Tops should have interesting
neck lines and be very dark or very light for separation. Medium tones
and pastels are not as good. Textures in clothes are good (e.g. ribbed)
The tops will determine the look of the shoot. Bring a variety of necklines, textures,
light and dark fabrics. Also, include light and
dark undergarments with no textures. Feel free to bring what you feel most
comfortable in.
For the bottom, one good pair of blue jeans, black jeans, black slacks, and black shoes is all you need.
If you have glasses, please be prepared take out the lenses or to bring an extra frame without the lenses.
